Biography

Dan McBride is a father, husband, writer, singer, and dog lover; spending many years singing in men’s choruses, and serving in non-profit organization management. Professionally, after earning a Bachelor of Science degree at Boise State University, and a  Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Pacific University, Dan practiced medicine as a PA in Washington, Oregon, and California, and taught Medical Terminology, before  retiring in 2022. A  recent accomplishment was retiring and moving to Portugal with his husband Timm and dog Bubba. “So You Want to Move to Portugal” shares tips they learned in that process.

We now live in Portugal, just outside Lisbon in a quiet residential community, and our beloved Bubba "crossed over the Rainbow Bridge." We purchased a modest apartment and have, not unexpectedly, been doing some upgrades; and have been traveling, exploring the magnificence of Portugal and the rest of Europe. Plans include more of the same! 🏳️‍🌈
